INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids for the COLUMBIA TURNPIKE (C.R. 510) AND RIDGEDALE AVENUE (C.R. 608/632) INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS, in the BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK, MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY will be received at the BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK on Thursday, September 30, 2010  at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time.

The work generally consists of the replacement of existing vehicular traffic control assemblies and pedestrian signal assemblies; and associated excavation, installation of service wires, cables, underground conduit, traffic control cabinets, video detection equipment, traffic signals, roadway lighting, traffic mast arm structures, and foundations.  In addition, the work includes the replacement of curbed islands and roadway curbs; and the installation of asphalt imprinted crosswalks, ADA access ramps, Town Center Task Force sidewalks, reflective traffic striping and community park lighting; as well as partial pavement reconstruction, pavement milling, application of hot mix asphalt pavement, and other incidental work, all in the Borough of Florham Park in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by the Borough’s Engineering Department and The RBA Group, 7 Campus Drive, Parsippany, New Jersey. 

Plans and Specifications have been filed in the Department of Community Services of the BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK and may be inspected by prospective bidders at the Department of Community Services Office, 111 Ridgedale, Avenue, Florham Park, New Jersey, during business hours.  Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications at the Department’s office on proper notice.  A non-refundable charge of $70.00 per set shall be paid to the Borough of Florham Park.

Each bidder, at the time he obtains Specifications, must furnish a list of the crafts or trades required to execute the Contract.  Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended) and that award will not be made to any bidder whom the Commissioner of Labor and Industry does not certify.

Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications.  They must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Mayor and Borough Council, BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK, MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond on the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid.  Said check or bid bond may not be less than $500 nor shall it be more than $20,000 and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety Company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder.  A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Record of Recent Contract Awards must also accompany the proposal on the forms provided.

PROPOSAL FORMS SHALL NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE FORM OF PROPOSAL.  PROPOSALS MUST BE MADE UPON THE BLANK FORMS PROVIDED AND SUBMITTED IN THE BOUND BOOK, WHICH SHALL BE LEFT WHOLE AND INTACT IN EVERY RESPECT.

 

Bidders must have at the time of bid, a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 Chapter 127 for an affirmative action program for equal employment opportunity.  If awarded a contract, your company/firm will be required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 C. 127 (NJAC 17:27-1, et seq.).

Bidders must also comply with the requirements of P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 amending the Local Public Contracts Law.  Bidders must submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all the stockholders in the corporation or members of the partnership who own ten percent (10%) or more of its stock, or have a ten percent (10%) or greater interest in the case of partnership.

No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of bids.  A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty (60) days after the opening of bids.

The Mayor and Borough Council of the BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK reserve the right to reject all bids, to reject unbalanced bids, and to waive any informality in any bid.

FLORHAM PARK SEWERERAGE UTILITY

SLUDGE PUMPING STATION ROOF REPLACEMENT

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids for the FLORHAM PARK SEWERAGE UTILITY SLUDGE PUMPING STATION ROOF REPLACEMENT, in the BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK, MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY will be received at the BOROUGH OF FLORHAM PARK on Thursday, September 23 , 2010  at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time.

The work generally consists of the replacement of the Florham Park Sewerage Utility  Sludge Pumping Station roof including removal of existing stone roof coping and any underlying deteriorated concrete block parapet; removal of existing flat roof stone ballast, flat roof membrane(s), and roof flashing; and modifying existing adjacent light poles as per direction of Engineer.  As well as, installation of new wood framed exterior walls with brick veneer on top of sound parapet, and the installation of a pre-engineered wood truss gable roof framing, fiberglass/asphalt shingle roof, aluminum gutters and downspouts, final cleanup, and other incidental work, all in the Borough of Florham Park in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by the Borough’s Engineering Department.
